Building your site really just involves putting content into a form. Here, you'll learn to add more than just text—you'll learn to apply formatting and to add images, videos, and links.
When adding content to your site, you’ll see:
This screenshot shows a plain text box (above) and a rich text box (below). The plain text box is really meant for only a few words or a sentence. The rich text box is larger, and it has formatting tools.
You can bold and italicize text, and you can add links, headings, and quotes. You can also create bulleted and numbered lists.
To do all that, you just select the text you want to format, and then click a button.
Here are some more details on how to:
So to add any formatting to text:
To add bold formatting, highlight text, and then click Bold —or press ⌘+B (on a Mac) or CTRL+B (on a PC).
To add a link, highlight text, and then click Link . Next paste in a URL, and then click ✓ (or press Enter) to save.

To add an image to a rich text box:
When adding the image, you can:
Your template is designed to work with a variety of image sizes. So unless your image is the wrong shape for the situation (e.g., tall & skinny instead of square), it’s precise size might not matter.
Note At this time, you can only change the size of an image when first adding it. If you need to change the size of an image that you’ve added, delete it, and then re-add it (from the Market).
To change the size of the image:
Click Edit Image to see the editing tools.
Note Resizing an image might not always work as you intend. Some templates have styles that cause images to fill up 100% of the available space. If the image is too big, the template will shrink it down. If the image is too small, the template will stretch it to fill the space. These styles help the template deal with a variety of image sizes.
On the Crop tab, you can cut down an image (make it square, 3:2, and so on).
On the Resize tab, you can set an image’s exact size. Keep in mind that some templates have styles that cause images to fill up 100% of the available space. So resizing an image may not always work as you intend.
Once you’ve added an image, to align it right or left:
You can center images, which is the default.

Just by pasting in a link, you can add videos (for example, from YouTube or Vimeo) and even tweets from Twitter.
